NEW YORK—AVN Hall of Famer and Dominatrix Extraordinaire Julie Simone, who recently graced the pages of Alternative Revolution magazine (now available on Amazon.com), will be serving as Head Mistress, doling out punishments and rewards (in equal measure) at Summer Masquerade Ball, July 19.
"Summer Masquerade Ball is the party of the year in D.C.; I'm so excited to be a part of it again this year! I love that people go all out with their costumes. If you're anywhere near DC, you need to come to this party,” said Simone.
This year's theme is Emerald City: Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Emerald City for SMB 17. Bring Your Vision of a Dark, Naughty Oz To Life... perhaps an Apocalyptic Dorothy in Garters, a Steampunk Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion in Leather, Liquid Latex Scarecrow or a Terrifying LED Wizard. The Most Luscious Wicked Witch, Benevolent Glitter Corsetted Glinda, Evil Flying Monkeys on the Dance Floor, Lollipop Guild Munchkins, and 5' Ruby Slippers.
DJs include DC's own Hardware, Mindcage, Synthicide (Va), Octo-Pussy (Philly) and Xris Smack (NYC), with bands Retrogramme, The Take Over Project and Venal Flesh playing.
SMB, which takes place at Phase One of Dupont, 1415 22nd St NW, Washington DC, 9 pm - 3am, is $25 in advance, $30 at the door.
