Jessica Drake Leads Wicked Team at AIDS Walk LA

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Adult entertainment star Jessica Drake leads a team of walkers—including Wicked Pictures director Brad Armstrong and contract stars Stormy Daniels, Kaylani Lei and Alektra Blue—in the annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles fundraising event on Oct. 14 in West Hollywood, Calif. Drake has organized the walkers under the name Team Wicked, honoring Wicked Pictures, where Drake has been a contract star since 2003.

To help Drake and Team Wicked meet their fundraising goal, visit the team’s AIDS Walk LA page here. Team Wicked has already accumulated pledges totaling over $16,000, "but there's always room for more," Drake said.

"This is an opportunity for us in the adult industry to show we're a part of the larger sex-positive community," Drake said. "We're all in this together, and when we fight against HIV and AIDS, we fight for positive, healthy sexuality for everybody. I'm proud to be a member of the team and participate in AIDS Walk LA."

The team, which also includes performers Brandy Aniston, Kortney Kane, Keni Styles, Rick Bailey, Barry Scott, Mark Nicholson and Patrick Spinella, will walk in "No on Measure B" t-shirts. Like much of the adult industry, drake opposes the draconian measure which mandates condoms and other barriers in on-camera sex scenes.

"I've been pro-condom for a long time, and Wicked Pictures has been all-condom for years," Drake said. "But that's our choice. We don't think condoms and barriers should be compelled by law."

AIDS Walk Los Angeles has drawn more than a half-million participants, who have collectively raised more than $72 million, in its 27 years. The event, which has served as a model of grassroots fundraising and community activism for organizations across the United States, is sponsored by AIDS Project Los Angeles. It is dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by HIV disease, reducing the incidence of HIV infection, and advocating for fair and effective HIV-related public policy.

Drake is an advocate for safe sex practices and education. She spearheads Wicked Pictures’ involvement in Adult Production Health & Safety Services, a program designed by the Free Speech Coalition to provide producers and performers with a reliable protocol and database for STI testing.

Drake writes, produces, and directs the educational video series Jessica Drake's Guide to Wicked Sex, uniting a lifetime of study with a decade’s worth of experiential research. The series has received excellent reviews from adult industry authorities.

Continuing her commitment to sexuality education, drake writes a column for AdultDVDEmpire.com titled “Ask Jessica Drake Anything,” where she answers questions on love, sex and romance each month.
