LOS ANGELES—Derrick Pierce gained plenty of headlines for his lead performance in Magic Mike XXXL: A Hardcore Parody, and his hard work paid off with a nomination for an AVN Award.
The Springfield, Mass., native finds himself in the Best Actor category for the ceremony, which takes place in January. Other AVN Award nominations for Derrick are Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene for his tryst with Carter Cruise in Batman v Superman XXX: An Axel Braun Parody and Best Group Sex Scene for his scene with Eva Lovia, Maddy O’Reilly and Keiran Lee in Digital Playground’s Flesh.
“I was very fortunate to have been cast in such amazing projects," said Derrick. “It’s been a lot of hard work to get to where I am today and I’m very appreciative of all the recognition I have received. These nominations mean a lot to me and I’m grateful for them.”
The 2016 AVN Awards are set to take place Jan. 23, 2016, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Ticket and other info can be found on the events official website.
