Big Things Already Happening in 2012 for Nikki Benz

LOS ANGELES—Adult entertainment star and Penthouse Pet of The Year, Nikki Benz, capped an extremely successful 2011 in spectacular fashion and is already making 2012 even better.

The great work Benz did in 2011 has her nominated three times in the new AVN Awards 2012 Fan Voting. For the first time, fans can vote in the AVN Awards for four brand new categories. Nikki is on the ballot for Best Body, Favorite Porn Star and Twitter Queen.

"It is a nice new twist to have the fans voting in the AVN Awards this year," says Benz. "I am flattered to be up for these awards and it would be a great honor to win any of them. I am very proud of the work I did last year, especially in developing my online presence through social media. I know I can count on the Benz Mafia for a great showing."

Nikki is also nominated by AVN for Crossover Star of The Year, of which Benz says, “My work with Fox Sports and my mainstream movie debut last year definitely paid off!”

Benz’s New Year has already been filled with plenty of exciting news. She co-hosted the Red Carpet at the 10th Annual XBIZ Awards with Lisa Ann at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica on January 10 and was nominated in the Porn Star Site of the Year category.

"I am very proud of the nomination for my website," Benz exclaims. "I’m especially excited to host the Red Carpet with Lisa Ann. She is a beautiful woman and we are going to have a blast watching all of the lovely ladies and handsome men making their way into the XBIZ Awards."

No stranger to awards, Nikki already walked home with the Nightmoves Awards honor for Best Feature Dancer. She will be taking those award-winning skills to Anaheim, California for a two-night feature dance appearance. Benzi will be at the Imperial Showgirls Theater in Anaheim on January 13 and 14.

Benz rang in 2012 in downtown Nashville, enjoying a live show from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band, Lynyrd Skynyrd and joined the band’s back up singers to become an honorary “Honkette” on the band’s classic song, Sweet Home Alabama.

CNN cameras captured and aired some of Nikki's performance.

"I am not sure if CNN realized who I was," states Benz "But my friends called and sent texts saying that they saw me singing on CNN. I was nervous, but I did my best. The back up singers did a great job of making me feel at ease on stage. I have to say that I really did ring in my 2012 with a bang! How many people can say that they got to sing with Lynyrd Skynyrd as the clock counted down to midnight on New Year's Eve in front of 60,000 fans and a nationwide audience on CNN? All I can say is that Skynyrd now has a new fan for life!"
