2013 XRCO Nominations Make It Clear: Wicked Means Blockbuster

LOS ANGELES, Calif.—Capping off a week that saw falling meteors making headlines across the globe, Brad Armstrong’s apocalyptic Wicked Pictures blockbuster Countdown earned a Best Epic nomination from the X-Rated Critics Organization. Marcus London’s spectacular Spartacus MMXII: The Beginning (produced by London Gunn Films and Miko Lee Productions, distributed by Wicked) was honored with the same accolade, making Wicked the only distributor to have multiple nominees in this coveted and highly competitive category.

Armstrong and London also received Best Director (Parody) nominations, thanks to the excellence of Spartacus MMXII: The Beginning and Armstrong’s Men In Black: A Hardcore Parody. Armstrong’s spoof also earned Best Parody (Comedy), while the overall quality of his output for the year was recognized in the Best Director (Features) category.

Turning to performances, the XRCO honored Marcus London with a Best Actor nomination for his fine work in Spartacus MMXII: The Beginning’s title role, while Xander Corvus was similarly rewarded for his appearance in Armstrong’s Craving II.

In other highlights, the organization rewarded jessica drake’s sexual wellness outreach and consistently high pop culture visibility with a Mainstream Adult Media Favorite nomination. Wicked contract director Jonathan Morgan’s impressive body of work earned the veteran filmmaker an induction into the XRCO Hall of Fame’s class of 2013.

Wicked Pictures is pleased to congratulate all the nominees. Winners will be announced at the 29th Annual XRCO Awards. For more information, please click here.
