Pacific Sun to Make All New Releases 2-Disc Sets

NORTH HILLS, Calif. – In an effort to give retail and wholesale customers what a company spokesman called “the maximum amount of bang for the buck,” all future Pacific Sun Entertainment productions will be two-disc sets, the company announced Tuesday.

The two-disc sets are expected to sell for the same price as the company’s previous single-disc titles. According to production and marketing chief Michael LaBarbera, the first disc will contain a full-length hardcore movie, and the second disc will comprise porn star interviews, bloopers and outtakes, photo galleries and behind-the-scenes footage.

“Selling for the same price as a one-disc new release, we hope that buyers will find this a way to offer their customers high quality and fun features at competitive prices,” LaBarbera said.

In addition, Pacific Sun’s distribution arm is attempting to convince the studios whose content Pacific Sun distributes to follow suit.

“We are in talks with several of our exclusive studios to start featuring the same kind of two-disc sets for their productions,” LaBarbera said.

Among the first new titles to receive the double-disc treatment will be T.J. Paris’ Straight Up Dudes, Paul Barresi’s Bears on the Prowl and Phil St. John’s Happy Birthday Gang Bang, all due this summer.
