Kill Girl Kill 2 director Eon McKai hosted an ultra-cool release party Monday night, hours before VCA Pictures streeted the much-anticipated alt-porn production. The soiree doubled as a birthday bash for KGK 2 starlet Veronica Jett.
The narrow, dingy atmosphere of ll Corral was crammed full of punkers and porners co-mingling as non-stop hardcore screened large in an adjoining space attracting casually curious and quietly interested voyeurs. Revelers included adult stars such as Evan Stone (sharing his birthday with Jett) and Syren, Gia Jordan, Tiffany Taylor, Kurt Lockwood, Samantha Ryan, Jezebelle Bond, Justin, newcomer Dana D’Armand, Platinum Blue sales chief Dean Sussman and a roving cast of local scenesters.
VCA Vice President of Sales Peter Reynolds grabbed Black Widow Media Director of Sales, Lisa Black Widow, a spot near the bar where Suicide girls Alice and Sita who starred in Kill Girl Kill as Karissa DeViance and now going by the name Eve Mayfair for X-rated releases, pumped free beer and kept the crowd drinking in the art turned porn/punk party space.
The mood was ebullient all-around with director McKai offering, “It’s nice to have a party that’s not in the Valley and doesn’t have all that bling,” adding that he’s excited about the pre-order success of this title and anxious to get into pre-production on the New Wave Hookers sequel he also has in the works.
“I know that if I wasn’t selling, they wouldn’t continue to let me make movies for VCA, and tell me to fuck off,” McKai offered adding that his choice of pseudonym is borrowed from the founding member of legendary punk rock band, Fugazi. “Eon was totally unflappable, making hard choices and to that I also add the promise no fake boobs in our features.”
A special contest offered to members of online rental giant Wantedlist.com with a grand prize deejay system complete with two Technic turntables, microphone, headset and all the bells and whistles was presented to an avid 18-year-old online renter from Santa Rosa, Calif., with company owners Anh Tran and Danny Ting excitedly talking up their new venture into the gay porn online rental market, www.maleboxdvd.com.
VCA head of public relations, Sean Carney, excited about the new release and obvious upswing in the alt-porn market, offered, “Eon’s work is a true team effort. It’s part of the social fabric of the new generation.” Carney also pointed out that Hollywood guerilla poster artist Buff Monster contributed art direction to the project and Monster offered, “I walked by the bathroom just now and some girl said that Kyle Stone is done. Who is Kyle Stone, that hippie porn actor over there?"
Exiting the party early into the following day, Marisol, one of McKai’s crew members who proudly offered that she was the cum mopper for the initial release and as far as the easiest ejaculate to clean up, Kurt Lockwood beat out James Deen and Rob Rotten won out. “I don’t know why, but it looked good and came right up and the best thing is, I won’t be doing it any longer as I’m starring in Kill Girl Kill 3.” No word yet on who will take over Marisol’s chores on the cum squad but Kyle Stone is among the jizz mop candidates, according to an unnamed source.
