CHATSWORTH, Calif.—XXX performers including Brooklyn Chase, Brooke Banner, Amarna Miller, Tarantino XXX and Ryan Driller are featured in the latest Daily Beast article by Aurora Snow titled "Porn Stars Their First Times: ‘Was I Giving Up a Piece of Myself?"
The article by Snow, a former performer herself, was a reflection of what it was like the first time they got in front of the camera to perform having sex.
"There was no make-up artist or person to do my hair, and the whole ordeal was rather… anticlimactic," Snow recalled. "My co-star was also the director, which meant his approach to filming was more technical than intimate."
Former nude model Miller felt similarly, handling the transition smoothly.
"Going one step further, masturbating on camera, didn’t feel like a big deal," she said. "I saw porn as a great way to experiment with my sexuality."
"When Ms. Snow asked me if I could share the story of my first time performing in front of the camera I was happy to oblige and honored she asked me to do it," said Tarantino XXX.
In the article, the performer/director, who is self-booking, describes what it was like to step in front of the camera for his very first scene 6 years ago and he said it's not as easy as everyone thinks.
"Oh gosh I was so nervous that day, I was performing a scene with the beautiful Shay Fox for my very first adult feature parody film Porn Fiction. It was a nerve-wrecking but very good learning experience going forward in my career both behind and in front of the camera."
Ryan Driller claims not to have been quite as nervous his first time.
"I knew it was going to be a bit of a challenge because I wasn’t just trying to please the girls I was having sex with, I had to make it look good for the camera. For the most part it was fun and easy… until it came time to pop. It took me forever."
