Xobile Reaches Milestone in September

A record 10,000 new subscribers signed up for the Xobile cell phone mini adult movie service in September, the company said.

“We’re already the leader in the distribution of adult movies on wireless devices and hitting the 10,000 mark on our half-year anniversary is adding to the excitement we’re all feeling,” said Harvey Kaplan, director of mobile operations for Xobile’s parent company, Adult Entertainment Broadcast Network (AEBN).

AEBN is the largest distributor of Video-on-Demand (VoD) adult movies.

The company had been adding 5,000 to 6,000 new subscribers as early as July. Xobile launched in April.

“What we are hearing from customers is that they love the idea of totally private and secure access to adult content whenever they desire it,” Kaplan says. “They don’t want to wait until they get home to watch adult movies – they want them in the office, while parked in a car, or anywhere that’s convenient for them, and that’s what the Xobile system offers. Access is private, convenient, secure and totally portable.”

Xobile provides access to more than 50,000 two-minute clips edited from more than 5,000 adult films, in 151 different categories, from randy cheerleaders to classic films such as Debbie Does Dallas. The average Internet-enabled cell phone can store up to 700 such clips.
