Wicked Pictures' 1997 fire-fighting epic Flashpoint, co-produced with Adam & Eve and starring Jenna Jameson, will, as of April 30, be forever gone.
Fans of high-end, big-budget, story-driven adult entertainment should not despair. The movie will be re-released sometime in July as a specially-packaged collector's edition.
Wicked Pictures' Joy King, vice president of special projects, told AVN.com, "Flashpoint has been one of our biggest sellers, and for the 10th anniversary we decided to put it on a permanent moratorium and discontinue the single-disc title and re-release it a few months later as a collector's edition."
Directed by Brad Armstrong, Flashpoint received a perfect 5A rating from AVN. In addition to Jameson, the movie features Brittany Andrews, Jill Kelly, Asia Carrera, Sydnee Steele, Missy, Jonathan Morgan, T.T. Boy, Mike Horner, Mickey G, Johnni Black, Steve Drake and Veronica Hart.
"The collector's edition will be coming out in July and it will be a three-disc set," King said. "There will be special packaging, the movie itself will be extended and will have extended sex scenes and never-before-seen footage. There will be a lot of bells and whistles that weren't on the original disc, and we're pretty excited about it."
