‘Vice is Nice’ Animal Shelter Charity Event Set for July 24

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—The first annual “Vice is Nice” event is scheduled for Saturday, July 24 from 6:30 p.m. to midnight. Organized by Kelly Holland, president of Penthouse Studios, and Rancho Providentia, the “night of gambling, drinking and general shenanigans” will benefit two local animal shelters: Life 4 Paws and Valley Cats Inc. The event will take place in Chatsworth, Calif., at 10945 Old Santa Susana Pass Road.

The evening’s gambling will not be limited to poker, but also will include blackjack, roulette and craps. First prize for the poker tournament, however, will be a Panasonic 50-inch HD flat screen TV. There also will be raffles and other cool prizes, say the organizers, who added that catering will be provided by their favorite taco trucks. There will be poker lessons at 7:30 p.m., and the poker tournament will begin at 8:15 p.m. sharp.

"I've been involved in animal rescue for the last 10 years,” Holland told AVN. “Life 4 Paws and Valley Cats are two of the best rescue organizations in our community. Their focus on rescue and placement are only the starting points of the amazing services they provide. I thought a wonderful way to raise awareness and money for both rescues was to ask my friends, associates and neighbors to come together with their friends, associates and neighbors to share good food and good fun for a great cause. It’s a poker tournament and casino night on Saturday, July 24 at 6:30 p.m."

Anyone who wants to attend is required to RSVP by calling (888) 351-2725 or the numbers below. Anyone wishing to pre-register for the poker tourney can do so by calling or by visiting Life4paws.org. Registration at the door is $50. Pre-registration is $45.
