LAS VEGAS – In her letter to the editors at The Las Vegas Review Journal, Lynn Comella, an Assistant Professor in UNLV’s Women’s Studies Program, criticized staff writer Benjamin Spillman’s coverage of last week’s AVN Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE) as “too clichéd.”
Comella particularly took issue with Spillman’s choice to “go for the sensational” rather than the incisive; ignoring the many industry seminars or viewpoints of the “female — and feminist identified — proprietors and porn producers” at the show for more one-dimensional coverage.
