Tristan Taormino Pens 200th Village Voice Column

NEW YORK - Village Voice Media has published the 200th installment of Tristan Taormino’s “Pucker Up” and is now syndicating the sex column to LA Weekly, SF Weekly and Seattle Weekly.

"Pucker Up" first appeared in the Voice in 1999. Along with advice on anal sex, pubic hair grooming, water sports, BDSM and other aspects of sexuality, Taormino's column has covered the adult video industry with in-depth profiles of performers, producers and directors.

“It’s a dream job," Taormino said. "I get to eat, sleep, think, and write about my favorite topic: sex. It never gets boring!"

A Wesleyan grad and the niece of author Thomas Pynchon, Taormino has carved out a successful niche as a "sex-positive" educator, writer and lecturer. She contributed a regular column to Hustler's Taboo magazine and directed two XXX videos for Evil Angel based on her book, "The Ultimate Guide To Anal Sex For Women."

Vivid Entertainment introduced Taormino's Vivid-Ed label in 2007, releasing three volumes in the Expert Guide instructional DVD series. Taormino is currently in post-production on Vivid-Ed's Expert Guide to the G-Spot and the fourth movie in her AVN Award-winning reality-porn series Chemistry.

“Everyone at Vivid congratulates Tristan on her 200th column," said Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch. "She’s our own wonder woman as she is not only an extraordinarily talented journalist, but a first class director and popular sex educator.”
