Tommy Gunn Launches Gunn Models

LAS VEGAS – There’s a new agent in town, and he’s packing a Gunn.

That’s right, reigning AVN Male Performer of the Year (for another three days, anyway) Tommy Gunn is staking his claim in the talent agency racket with Gunn Models, officially launching at the 2008 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo.

“I don’t think it’s an issue of trying to do anything differently, because there are some really good agents out there who handle their talent really well,” Gunn said, “and I’m going to try to fashion myself after them. It’s going to be simply trying to give [my clients] a little more guidance, a little more of what I’ve experienced in the business.

“It’s kind of a simple character that you need to possess in order to do well at this job, and that’s be diligent and be responsible and not be into drugs, and have that business sense,” he continued. “And I’m going to try to instill that into our talent and try to encourage them to do the right thing — get to bed early and do these certain things. I know it’s kind of a tall order, but if you play your cards right, you can make yourself have a long career and have some money for yourself at the end of the day.”

A tall order it may be, but Gunn plans to keep his talent roster small in order to fill that order to the best of his ability.

“Obviously not too small,” he said, “because then I wouldn’t have the variety and that spectrum of talent that maybe a producer or director would be looking for, but small enough to be able to pay somewhat individual attention to them, and devote that time that they might require, and not have so many girls to the point where they feel neglected.”

Gunn plans to focus on recruiting new, never-before-shot talent, which it will set out to do through internet avenues and “model search type things with nightclubs in different parts of the country.

“[We plan to] look for that next adult superstar, so to speak,” Gunn said, “and try to help mold them and make them see that there is potential for a career in adult, as there wasn’t years ago. It’s an actual career choice now.”

Gunn Models is wrapping up getting properly licensed to operate as a California talent agency, and confirmed that it will be representing Devon Lee and Ashlynn Brooke (though the latter, contracted to New Sensations/Digital Sin, will only be available for limited services).

As its official kick-off, Gunn Models will host an AVN Awards after-party Saturday night at Blush in the Wynn Hotel.

“Hopefully, it’ll be a victory party as well,” Gunn laughed.
