NEW YORK—In the alternate universe known as Earth, three accomplished women who normally have nothing to do with one another can now occupy the same sentence, thanks to the lovely Tina Fey.
Those women would be Fey, Sarah Palin and Lisa Ann.
The star of 30 Rock made funny last Wednesday at the annual Ad Council dinner, which she emceed. In her opening remarks, she first conceded that NBC, the network on which her show is aired, is down in the ratings, to say the least.
"NBC is sadly the fourth-place network; actually, we're in ninth place if you count the radio stations ahead of us right now," she said. "I really believe that if everyone in this room would watch NBC for one night, then that would be a 40 percent [ratings] increase."
The Sarah Palin impressionist par excellence then took a swipe at Palin by way of Lisa Ann.
"They made a porn movie about Sarah Palin, and the same actress, Lisa Ann, played me in the porn version of 30 Rock. Weirdly, of the three of us, Lisa Ann knows the most about foreign policy," she cracked.
The porn movie Fey was referring to is, of course, Hustler's Who's Nailin' Paylin?
