Third Degree Wraps TMZ Parody

CANOGA PARK, Calif. – Third Degree Films wrapped production on TM Sleaze, a XXX parody of the popular TMZ celebrity gossip television show, on Tuesday.

“We parody the show pretty faithfully. We have a bullpen where the staff discusses the latest celebrity mishap, and then we cut to the mishap, which is the sex scene,” Scott Stein, director of marketing for Third Degree, told AVN. “So it’s a lot like the show but more graphic and with better sex.”

Naturally, any parody of a celebrity gossip show will include celebrity impersonators. While Third Degree is keeping the names of the celebrities impersonated under wraps for the moment, company president Joey Wilson is pleased with the impersonations. “We’ve gone to great lengths to ensure that the celebrity impersonators will bear – and bare – an uncanny likeness to the person that they are portraying,” Wilson said.

Helmed by the founders of PopPorn.com, Brian Bangs and Spock Buckton, with the videography of Mike Quasar, the production was allotted a four-day shooting schedule. Third Degree used five different locations, a testament to the company's belief in the project.

The only cast member whose name has been released so far is Ron Jeremy. He plays a non-sex role.

Wilson so far was pleased with the project, which hasn’t been given a release date as of yet. “With the cast that we’ve assembled, the script that has been delivered and all of the bases that we’ve got covered … I couldn’t be happier,” he said.
