They Aren't Bad Girls, They're Just Drawn That Way: Vivid Comix Coming Soon

The debut issue of a graphic novel series from Vivid Entertainment will be published next month. The 48-page adults-only comic book created by Avatar Press and distributed by Vivid Comix.

Vivid Girls Volume One has erotic action and adventure stories featuring characters based on the popular Vivid Girls plus elaborate photo spreads in each issue. The square-bound, magazine-size comic has full-color cover art by Dave Nestler.

Vivid Girls Volume One features stories by Steven Grant and Antony (Courtyard) Johnston with original art by Juan Jose (Robocop) Ryp, Marco Turini and Carlos Fernando.

"Our decision to use writing and art by the best creators in the field is paying off and we are getting terrific early feedback in the market," says William Christensen, president of Avatar Press. "This series promises to be the highest quality adult comic work ever produced, and the premium, oversized graphic novel format will make it a true collectors' treasure."

Vivid Girls Volume One opens with a story called "Spellbound," a tale set in a medieval magical world of fantasy and witchcraft starring Jenna Jameson and Tawny Roberts (with Mercedez appearing in Volume Two) and featuring a story by Johnston and art by Ryp.

The second story is "Dry Heat," a classic crime caper with double-crossing intrigue starring Sunrise Adams, Kira Kener and Briana Banks. Written by Grant, it features art from Turini.

The issue wraps up with "White Light," which follows the forces of Heaven and Hell in a power struggle on Earth. Chole Jones, Savanna Samson, and Cheyenne Silver are the featured actresses in this tale written by Johnston and drawn by Fernando.

Vivid Girls Volume One will be available worldwide in January 2004 at comic stores and adult retailers. Preorder and online purchasing information is available at www.vividcomix.com
