Fans of John Holmes are in luck. Hollywood’s Erotic Museum is hosting a posthumous party for the massively endowed star’s 60th birthday. The event, to be held on Sunday, August 8 between 6 and 9 PM, will feature screenings of remastered Holmes’ films, guest speakers, and the donation of memorabilia to the “King’s Court,” the Erotic Museum’s permanent John Holmes display.
“He was dead before his time,” said porn industry stalwart William Margold who is scheduled to speak at the gala. “He was the most important person in porn, ever. Every girl wanted him, and every guy wanted to be him. He’s synonymous with the history of the business.”
Holmes starred in hundreds of porn flicks in the 70s and early 80s before he succumbed to AIDs in 1988.
