According to an Associated Press report, the state Supreme Court has refused to hear an appeal from Anthony J. Frederick, the photographer convicted in the Feb. 2004 stabbing murder of Canadian porn model Natel King (a.k.a. Taylor Sumers.)
In February 2005, Frederick was sentenced to 24-50 years in prison after he pled guilty in Montgomery County Court to third-degree murder and other charges related to King's death. Frederick testified that he stabbed King in self-defense during a bondage photo shoot arranged online.
Frederick's attorney Richard D. Winters sought a shorter prison term for his client, who has no prior criminal record. The State court upheld the sentence set by Montgomery County Judge William T. Nicholas, who described Frederick as "cold and calculating."
