SANTA MONICA, Calif. – While the inland valleys and central city sweltered from a soul-crushing heatwave, throngs of music fans enjoyed the cooler temperatures, ocean breezes and varied musical sounds of the sophomore year of the Summer Strummer Festival held on the grounds of Bergamot Station in beautiful Santa Monica.
Wicked Pictures, one of the proud sponsors of the event, along with Gibson, 98.7 Star Radio, Monster Energy Drink, the Overbey Agency and others, rocked out to 40 bands, including featured performers Mat Kearney, Augustana, and Jesse Malin.
But it wasn't all rocking. A group of dedicated Wicked Pictures personnel were on hand to meet and greet the huge number of fans who stopped by the company's booth to pick up some free promotional items and to get autographs from such Wicked Pictures luminaries as jessica drake, Kaylani Lei, Kirsten Price and Randy Spears.
Food, drink and fun were served up in equal and extreme doses, and the crowd couldn't get enough of the Wicked Girls who were definitely in their element.
Joy King, Wicked Pictures' vice president of special projects said of the festival, "Having the opportunity to be a Silver Sponsor of this years Summer Strummer Music Festival was a great opportunity to reach out to a diverse audience. The girls, jessica drake, Kaylani Lei and Kirsten Price along with Randy Spears were well received by fans and band members alike. Our banner on stage was a great backdrop to having promotional items tossed from stage. We look forward to doing more festivals and expanding brand awareness."
And it seems clear that fans will look forward to attending such future events.
