Christmas came a few days early this year for Wicked Pictures juggernaut Stormy Daniels. Following her first feature dance performance of the evening at Dayton Gold, Daniels was stunned when Den from CAVR.com casually walked up to her at the autograph table and presented her with his coveted Best Director (Features) trophy for 2006.
Traditionally, CAVR award winners are announced on Jan. 1 and the trophies passed out in Las Vegas during AVN’s Adult Entertainment Expo. However, Stormy’s presence in the area was too much for Den to resist and, being in the Christmas spirit, an early presentation of the award seemed fitting and convenient.
“This is incredible!” gushed a delighted Stormy, whose recent directorial efforts include Sleeping Around, Gossip and Taken. Also on hand for the occasion were the co-chairmen of the XRCO, Dirty Bob and Dick Freeman, and Stormy's road manager Mike Moz.
Dayton Gold manager Ben was likewise happy with Stormy. “Being the weekend before Christmas, I knew we had our work cut out for us to bring in customers, and Stormy’s presence was what it took for pack ‘em in. She did a great job.”
