Smash Signs Kevin Moore to Directing Deal

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Smash Pictures has signed shooter Kevin Moore to a non-exclusive directing deal. Moore will shoot one title a month for the label, starting with the fall 2007 release Clothes Freaks.

Originally from Springfield, Massachusetts, Moore is known in the adult industry for his work as a cameraman for AVN Hall of Fame directors John Leslie and Joey Silvera. Moore also shoots for his own label Jeckyll and Hyde, which is distributed by Pulse.

Moore's upcoming titles for Smash will feature a strong emphasis on tease and fetish elements, a strategy that the label has successfully employed in a string of costume-themed titles such as Naughty Nanny and Registered Nurse.

"Personally, I'm not a big fan of wall-to-wall gonzo stuff; I'm more into a lot of tease and set-up with really hot girls," Moore told AVN. "I think the consumer needs a real fantasy to play with – for me, I'm real into girls dressed up real sexy. I do a series called Dress Up Dolls for my own label, and [Smash sales VP] Stuart Wall wanted to do something in that vein: girls dressing up, dressing down, making the tease longer and more involved. Obviously, there has to be great sex but it's also the build-up and the anticipation. That's where the concept came from, and I'm now in the middle of casting and shooting."

"We're really excited about bringing Kevin in to direct for us," Wall told AVN. "We're getting ready to announce another surprise signing soon; you'll be seeing a lot of great things from Smash in the months ahead."
