Sinsation Pictures president Paul Sirimarco is preparing for a nationwide tour of retailers this summer.
"I don't know how many production company owners actually go to stores and see the end user, but I think it is important to see them…see what they are buying and just say 'hi.' Also, to let the store know we are there for them," said Sirimarco.
Sinsation is exclusively distributed by Wicked Pictures. Sirimarco produces his movies under the name Paul Marco. The company's recent titles include the cyber-sex feature Look Who's Watching, the solo-girl sex-a-thon My Space and the gambling-themed Bookie Nights.
"Sinsation is still fairly new as far as an adult production company goes. But they have a great line that is doing awesome," said Bonnie Kail, head of domestic sales for Wicked Pictures. "Paul's dedication is amazing. The guy is non-stop when it comes to the Sinsation line."
Sirimarco's trip will start in Phoenix, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco in May. He plans to tour the Northwest in June and the East Coast later in the summer.
"This is a get to know the customer trip," Sirimarco added. "I went in a few stores for the first time ever a few weeks ago here on the West Coast [and] couldn't believe how many customers were in them. People are saying DVDs in retail stores are becoming a thing of the past. I don't think so. I think customers will always need instant gratification. They need to feel the product in their hands."
