VAN NUYS, Calif. - Shane, the icon behind the Shane's World phenomenon, is getting behind the camera again, this time for Odyssey Group Video, the first distributor of the series she created. The one-time star of the early Seymore Butts line has agreed to a multi-picture deal with OGV to shoot the series Shane and Friends.
True to her roots, the original queen of gonzo is slated to shoot the first production in June on a houseboat with a cast still being selected at press time.
"I have always been very aware of the chemistry of the talent for my shoots," Shane said through a spokesman. "Being pretty isn't enough. We have a blast when we film—it's more of a party than a set.
"Having been away for awhile now, I have to get to know who's out there all over again! Any cute girls interested in having some fun in the sun should contact me right away at [email protected] with a photo or two!"
"It has never been a secret that I love Shane," Odyssey Group's Bob East told AVN. "From her days with OGV in the early '90s when we distributed Shane's World, to the days with Phoenix Releasing, I don't know of anyone I would rather work with. This makes her coming back to OGV worth everything. We're back to producing new material, and what a fantastic place to begin!"
