CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Performer Shane Diesel of 'Blackzilla' fame has signed an exclusive deal with New Sensations' ethnic label Venegance XXX.
“Shane is one of the biggest male stars in the industry and we are honored and proud to have him as an exclusive director and performer. He has great vision and execution, and I look forward to seeing more terrific product from him,” said New Sensations president Scott Taylor.
Diesel began directing for New Sensations in January. The new deal calls for him to direct and perform in several series for Vengeance XXX, including the POV lines Face Full of Diesel, She Only Takes Diesel and another title yet to be announced.
"I’ve been doing the Blackzilla series for almost four years, and I got to the point where it was repetitious and routine, and I wanted to do something more," Diesel told AVN. "Scott Taylor at New Sensations offered me a really good deal to direct, so I took him up on it. We’ll be doing the gonzo and reality pickups, and a lot of interracial, but not as much of the hardcore language [of 'Blackzilla']. It’s going to vary."
Originally from Las Vegas, the 44-year-old Diesel fell into porn six years ago after he was forced to take a pay cut at his regular job.
"I was working at a night-time job for the airlines, and after 9/11 we had to take some pay cuts," he explained. "I figured I needed to do something to make some money and get a house, and I met a guy who was in porn [male performer Silvio]. A couple of months later, he introduced me to some people at Pink Visual."
While performing for Pink Visual, Diesel met future Hush Hush owner Andrew S. The two went on to make Blackzilla a monster hit.
"I was with Pink Visual for about a year and a half, and Andrew was working for them doing stuff; he had ideas about doing something called My Daughter Is Fucking A Black Guy," Diesel said. "I wanted to call it My Daughter is Fucking a Nigger because I wanted to shock the fans out there."
The series tapped into a big market and made Diesel a star.
"It was a lot of fun creating it and putting it together in the beginning," he said. "I helped come up with everything except the [Blackzilla] title, and it just blew up from there. It happened so fast, it was overwhelming. I get recognized a lot, especially by young people, in places like Wal-Mart and Target!"
Diesel is now looking forward to new challenges as he transitions to directing with Vengeance XXX.
"I have to get the hang of everything," he said. "It's challenging - eventually, I'll start directing some other performers. We had talked about a year [contract], but it's basically open-ended. I'll be there as long as they want me."
Diesel’s latest release as performer and director, She Only Takes Diesel 2, features Heidi Mayne, Nika Noire, Nevah Charms, Anjelica Blew, Starla Sterling and Velvet Rose, and hits the streets March 3.
