RubberDollies.com Runs Banner Design Contest

Brand new latex/fetish Website RubberDollies.com is launching a banner design contest with a $250 prize for the winner. Co-sponsored by parent company BlueBlood.net and SpookyCash.com, the contest started this week and runs through Halloween, a fitting end date for this gothic-themed site.

"Blue Blood's RubberDollies.com is our first serious foray into a niche outside the gothic and counterculture erotica ones we pioneered,” Blue Blood spokesperson Amelia G told AVN.com.

Designers interested in becoming a Rubber Dollies banner designer may win a first prize of $250 plus a one-year membership to another Blue Blood site if the best banner is made by a Rubber Dollies site member; the prize is $250 only for a winning design by a nonmember. Second prize is $100 plus a six-month membership to another Blue Blood site if the banner is made by a Rubber Dollies site member, or $100 only for a nonmember. Third Prize is $50 plus a one-month membership to another Blue Blood site if the banner is made by a Rubber Dollies site member, or $50 only for a nonmember.

“My personal taste in design for fetish banners is very clean and structured,” said G, “but I wanted to see what would get the most clicks. So I created the contest for fans of the sites to make whatever banners they like with the opportunity for cash prizes and free memberships. But the pro banners just appeal to me so much that I had to open the contest up to everyone.”

Contestants must stick to one of the following sizes: 468x60 or 120x60 or 88x31. Format should be .jpeg or .gif and not too big a file. If you are not a member of the site, you may only use the images in the zip file from the page at the bottom of the contest page to make banners. If you are a member of the site, you may use any image in the features area of the site only. Banners are permitted to contain nudity. Contestants may enter as many times as they like. All banners become property of Blue Blood once submitted.

Upon passing the initial judging process, finalists’ banners will be put into rotation across the Blue Blood network as they are approved. Winners will be picked from the finalists by a combination of how many people click on your specific banner and what percentage of the time your banner is clicked on when it shows. Statistics will be gathered through Halloween. Winners will be announced Nov. 3.

“I'm in the process of selecting finalist banners and putting them into rotation across the Blue Blood network now,” G noted. “If someone submits a good banner between now and the Nov. 3 winner announcement, they can still compete, but the earlier submissions will have an advantage.”

Contestants may submit banners at any time to [email protected] with the subject heading RubberDollies.com Banner Contest.

“It has been really fun seeing what people come up with and I think we will most likely do this again for Gothicsluts.com and Barelyevil.com,” G enthused. “Plus, we have a secret new site coming this winter."
