Rob Rotten Creates Punx Productions Hall of Fame

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Veteran adult producer Rob Rotten and his Punx Productions Inc. studios have announced the creation of the Punx Productions Hall of Fame. The first three inductees will be revealed on his company's website on Jan. 29. Rotten and a panel of industry veterans narrowed the list to three from over 20 candidates. New inductees will be announced annually.

Each will receive a celebratory plaque and be added to the Hall of Fame roster on the Punx Productions site. Rotten stressed "a no-nonsense backbone" to his new awards showcase.

"I'm announcing my Punx Productions Hall of Fame now because everyone just got slapped around by the toxic, hours-long commercial that is the Golden Globes," said Rotten, who has been a producer, director and adult performer for over 10 years. "Only real contenders and real talent will hope to receive a Punx award—and not because they needed a ratings boost to sell/rent the most DVD's possible.

He added, "I'm not interested in the bottom-line, where's the talent? That's the Rotten spirit."

Rotten said he plans to make this an annual celebration of worthy talent in the industry, and hopes to garner enough support and enthusiasm behind 'the Rottens' to have each year become "bigger and badder" than the last.

Rotten told AVN that he is not focusing just on talent or directors for the honor. He is also considering "behind-the-scenes people who never get any recognition."

The Punx Productions Hall of Fame plaque is bound by four steel rivets that holds a sheet of glass on top of it with engravings.
