Red Ezra Declares Free Agency

LOS ANGELES - After a long break, AVN Award-winning producer/director David “Red Ezra” Lockard is returning to freelance directing.

"I held out for a contract as long as I could but the fact is the business is changing and companies need to have freelancers they can call on they can put confidence in," Lockard told AVN. "I am looking to do internet, all-girl, gonzo, all sex, or big budget feature productions - I have the hands-on know-how required to get the job done on-time and on-budget with my signature style. I have been on the sidelines doing part time work for the last couple of years focusing on my photography - now it's time to get back to what I made my name doing and that's making movies.  I will continue to shoot for my website, redezra.com, as well as doing stills or camera work for clients.

“To be honest, I was hoping for a production deal so I’ve been passing on everything that wasn't a multi-picture contract,” said Lockard. “It’s creatively challenging shooting for a different company every month, but these days, I think it is best to be available on a per project basis. There is a demand for the experience I can bring to the table so I am once again on the market.”

Red Ezra has directed dozens of high profile adult titles for large production companies such as Vivid Entertainment, Club Jenna, Wicked Pictures, Metro and New Sensations. His past titles include McKenzie Made, Blu Dreams, Hearts & Minds, Flash! and Drive.

“When called upon in the past I have always delivered,” continued Lockard. “Companies can expect to be able to compete with anyone in the marketplace with a Red Ezra production and not just fill a slot in the schedule…I have the drive and passion to make movies again and I am ready for the opportunity to prove it. I have the skills to do any job associated with making a high value production including photography, videography, art direction, writing, producing, directing, and editing.”

Red Ezra has also garnered Gold and Platinum Sales Awards in the mainstream music video industry for Dimevision Volume One and Pantera Home Video Part 3 - both debuted at #1 on Billboard's Video Sales Chart.
