Randy Spears Joining Christy Canyon On Radio Show To Discuss Anti-Porn Video

LOS ANGELES—Retired porn performer Randy Spears will guest star on Christy Canyon’s internet radio show today to discuss the FightTheNewDrug.com video controversy.

The radio show airs 2-4 p.m. on VividRadio.com.

As AVN previously reported, Spears was featured in a video which aired on FightTheNewDrug.com, an anti-porn website.

Spears previously explained to AVN that when he agreed to the interview, it was with the understanding that it would be targeted toward youths struggling with drug and alcohol issues, which Spears himself battled in his younger days.

Instead, Spears said, the video—which identifies him as “Greg”—makes it seem as is he turned his back on the industry, in which he worked as a performer for more than 25 years.

"I saw this thing and I thought, 'Ohmigosh, this is not what I intended at all. This looks like I'm a cancer patient on my last leg,'" Spears told AVN in an exclusive interview. "It was sad and gloomy and the way they edited really made it look like I was down on porn, and it freaked me out. I got a call from Christy Canyon and Brad at Wicked, and some of my closer friends, and they were like, 'Are you all right?' And I was like, 'What do you mean?' This was before I saw it. And they said, 'Well, we saw this video, and it's on this Mormon website.' I go, 'What? What video?'

Spears said he was working to get the website to remove the video, but currently it is still available for viewing.
