CHATSWORTH , Calif. - Adult video distributor Pure Play Media has promoted Sonia Yanez to national account executive.
Yanez joined Pure Play in September 2007 as a sales rep. In her new role, Yanez will concentrate on the major national retail chains as part of Pure Play Media's recent shift to a Direct-to-Retail sales and distribution model.
"I'm very excited about my new position with the company," Yanez said. "I look forward to successfully meeting the challenges that working in an evolving adult marketplace presents. We have a large and constantly growing D2R-customer-base and I'm eager to build on the already strong relationships we have with our accounts to accomplish our sales goals."
Yanez started her adult industry career in 1996 at Leisure Time Entertainment, where she worked for more than five years in an administrative position. She went on to become head video buyer for wholesale distributor New Beginnings from 2001-2006. Prior to joining Pure Play, she worked for Vince Vouyer's AVN Award-winning gonzo studio Voyeur Media.
Yanez arrived at Pure Play while the company was planning its move to direct-to-retail distribution. The new distribution model launched in August.
