CHATSWORTH, Calif. – Pulse Distribution has released First Person Shooter, the latest release from director Kevin Moore’s Jekyll & Hyde Productions. The movie stars Jenna Haze, Tory Lane, Rebeca Linares, Jayna Oso and Jennifer Dark.
Known for his work with Evil Angel auteurs John Leslie and Joey Silvera, Moore launched the Jekyll & Hyde label as an outlet for his own gonzo productions. With First Person Shooter, the director combined two of his favorite pastimes: sex and video games.
Moore told AVN that he tried to go beyond the typical POV title by “interweaving well-developed, gamer-inspired scenarios with my brand of gonzo sex.”
“’First Person Shooter’ [or FPS] is a term used in the video game industry to describe a certain genre of game,” said Moore, . “I've always been a massive FPS fan, playing everything from the original Doom and Quake to many of the newer releases. This style of games has a real energy to it, which is something I always want to bring to anything I shoot.
“I think that the term POV is a little confusing to the casual consumer of porn," Moore continued. "The vocal minority, the die hard fans, knows what POV means, but not the broader majority. So I really wanted to expand the idea of POV to a larger audience, and I kept coming back to this term, First Person Shooter. To me, the video game term made much more sense to me, so I decided just to call the movie that…and add a lot of features that you would get as a First Person Shooter, like moving targets and sound effects, and you slowly see the scene morph into reality.”
Moore said he was so heavy into the FPS genre at one point that he previously ran several large FPS servers for games like Quake2, Quake3Arena and CounterStrike, and even ran tournaments for these games. He broke into porn while working in a corporate I.T. department by day and managing adult websites at night.
Moore's FPS scenarios include a cybersex chat come to life with starlet Jayna Oso, a video editing session that becomes much more with Rebeca Linares, and a first person shooter style chase with Jenna Haze.
“I think as the market becomes more deluged with product, the movies become more and more cookie-cutter,” said Moore. “I wanted to make something different with this. I hope to continue this series and make it even more involved in the next release. Now that I have the concept fleshed out, I think the next one will be even better.”
The DVD release includes two bonus “Panty Pop” scenes, featuring Moore worshipping at the ass altars of Haze and Linares. A trailer can be viewed here.
