Playboy Magazine Celebrates the Animated American MILF

CHICAGO—In giving Marge Simpson the cover of its November issue, Playboy magazine is engaging in dramatic fashion two of the fastest-growing and popular niches in America today—comics and MILFs.

While rumors had been circulating that the blue-haired mom from Springfield was aggressively campaigning for the cover, TMZ broke the news Thursday that executives at the iconic company had agreed to green light the shoot.

It’s a smart move, and one that could reposition the company as a relevant, cutting-edge player. Such is the cultural influence that The Simpsons, after 20 continuous years on the air, continues to wield. In choosing to represent “every mom” Marge as a bona fide sex symbol, Playboy is sending a loud message to sexually repressed America—grow up!

But it gets even better inside the covers.

“We're told Marge also strips down for her three-page spread inside the magazine—posing in a bunch of sexy cartoon lingerie,” TMZ reports, adding a crass if inevitable comment about finally learning whether the carpet matches the drapes.

The cover story is titled “The Devil in Marge Simpson,” which leads us to wonder if the babe with the beehive opens up with some saucy behind-the-scenes gossip.

Considering how little is known about Marge Simpson's offstage life, it could be an eye-opening expose into who’s really been animating Homer’s better half.
