VAN NUYS, Calif. – Pink Visual will showcase its mobile products to consumers and industry contacts next week at the 2009 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas.
The company began exploring mobile content delivery last January with the launch of iPinkVisual.com, a free site offering a handful of downloadable clips for cell phones and other handheld media players.
"We knew we had created a very cool and very slick site for mobile users – but there has been a ton of hype about mobile porn over the years that never really panned out, so there were some among us who were a bit skeptical," said Kim Kysar, brand and product manager for Pink Visual.
Consumer response was strong enough to support a paysite, iPinkVisualPass.com, adding ringtones and wallpapers to the mix. This month, the company expanded its mobile presence into the gay adult market with iMaleSpectrum.com and iMaleSpectrumPass.com.
Pink Visual is promoting the mobile sites through the TopBucks.com affiliate program, which offers a mobile redirect script as part of its selection of webmaster tools.
"The redirect script allows webmasters to automatically refer visitors using mobile browsers to our mobile sites, which increases the likelihood of purchase by delivering these users to sites that are specifically optimized for their mobile and handheld devices," Kysar explained.
Pink Visual's entry into the mobile space drew media attention from Time.com, CNBC and PCMag.com. The reality-porn producer now plans to move "full speed ahead" with the new platform, Kysar said.
"We’ve been blown away by the consumer response to iPinkVisual and iPinkVisualPass, and pleasantly surprised by the attention the mainstream media has given our mobile products,” Kysar said.
