Performer Tyler Knight Appearing on MMA Radio Tonight

LOS ANGELES - AVN Award-winning performer Tyler Knight will be a guest tonight on Tapout Radio Live, a weekly mixed martial arts talk show broadcast on the Internet.

Knight, who picked up the AVN award for Best Anal Sex Scene - Film in January for his scene with Chelsea Rae in The Craving, was invited on the show to talk about the correlation between porn and mixed martial arts. "I couldn't tell you why there seems to be a connection between adult and MMA, but it is certainly there. I guess that the people who are in MMA and the people in adult are kindred spirits.

"Both groups are fringe elements that are flirting with mainstream success so I suppose some people feel that they are rebellious by associating with either. I get a lot of eye rolling when people find out about what I do for a living, but other than that the fight community has been overwhelmingly positive," Knight told AVN.

Knight, an active member of several MMA forums, was approached by the show's producers after they noted some of his comments on a particularly popular MMA forum. "People have a ton of questions for me. Everyone wants to know what it is like to work in adult. They also like to ask questions about their favorite performers, what its like to work with certain people."

Knight is currently training for his first sanctioned MMA fight that is expected take place early next year, He is primarily a striker but also has experience in grappling. In addition to studying Muay Thai and Jeet Kune Do for 10 years, Knight has also been working on his boxing skills for the last five. He works out under the guidance of legendary boxing trainer Freddie Roach at Wildcard Boxing.

Knight's grappling experience includes three years of high school wrestling and four years, on and off, of studying jiu-jitsu with Eddie Bravo.

The training hasn't interfered with Knight's career, although he admits to having had to work through training related injuries. "I've done scenes with black eyes and busted ribs, every injury possible. They can cover up the bruise but they can't doing anything with the pain. Of course, you don't mind the pain so much when you are having sex."

Tapout Radio Live starts at 6 p.m. PST but Knight won't be on air until about 7:30. Knight believes he follows Frank Trigg, a popular MMA fighter who has previously been sponsored by Vouyer Media. The show is streamed live on the Internet at CageSideLive.tv.
