New Beverly Cinema Screens Damiano's 'Story of Joanna'

LOS ANGELES - The New Beverly Cinema's Grindhouse Film Festival pays tribute to the late Gerard Damiano on Saturday, Dec. 13 with a special midnight screening of the director's XXX classic The Story of Joanna.

The Story of Joanna stars Terri Hall, Jamie Gillis, Zebedy Colt, and Juliet Graham in a loose adaptation of the French novel "The Story of O." Originally released in 1975, the movie is perhaps most notorious for a gay scene between Gillis and Colt.

Saturday night's screening will feature an uncut 35mm print of the Damiano film along with vintage hardcore porn trailers, prizes, and surprise special guests to be announced.

Grindhouse Film Fest organizer Brian Quinn has revived several classic XXX films at the New Beverly under the 'Midnight Grind' banner, including The Opening of Misty Beethoven and a special tribute to Henri Pachard.

The New Beverly Cinema is located at 7165 Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles. Patrons must be 18 to attend.
