LOS ANGELES - Metro Interactive sales and marketing manager Pam Anderson passed away this morning from cardiac arrest following a two-week bout with complications arising from Crohn's Disease. She was 35.
"Pam had undergone a procedure yesterday and the news we received yesterday afternoon led us all to believe she was on the road to recovery," said Metro's Christian Mann. "Everyone at Metro is shocked and heartbroken by this unexpected news. Our thoughts are with her family, especially her sister Teresa who works with us at Metro, her husband Jimmy and her four young children."
News of Anderson's passing shocked friends and co-workers.
"She had so many people who admired and loved her," said Stefany Zelaya of Sin City. "Pam was my first boss when I got into the business at Metro. She was a wonderful person, so full of life and tremendously loyal. We were all looking forward to her recovery and her coming back. I just spoke to her sister last night, and she was saying the surgery was a success and everything was fine. I just would have never thought this would happen to her. I loved her very much. I just hope that she’s finally resting and she’s in no more pain."
"I don’t know anybody who enjoyed life more than Pam," added Bob East of OGV, who worked with Anderson at Metro. "It’s amazing to me… she always had a smile on her face, and just seemed up constantly. We became instant friends."
Anderson started her adult industry career working for AVN Hall of Famer Sean Michaels' production company SMP. She went on to work for New Sensations and Platinum X before arriving at Metro in 2005.
"Pam’s first job in the industry was working with me at Sean Michaels Productions," said Michaels. "She worked for me for four-and-a-half years. She was a great person who genuinely cared about people… a dedicated worker. Her loyalty was something that you don’t see every day in any walk of life. I will miss her."
Metro will provide information about funeral arrangements and donations in Anderson's memory as soon as they become available.
