Metro Builds New Studio in Northridge

CHATSWORTH, Calif. – Metro Content has completed the construction of Metro Studios, a 4,000 square-foot soundstage located in Northridge, Calif.

Metro will use the new facility for video production and live online feeds, including a web-cam venture and regular parties to be broadcast on the Internet. In addition to using the studio for in-house production, Metro plans to rent the facility to outside producers and directors.

"It’s time to streamline our production," said Metro Content CEO Ben Jelloun. "We are assembling a team of top photographers, videographers and directors to help run the studio smoothly. We are excited to see what energy and vision this new staff can bring to aid us in moving closer to our goals."

Formerly Metro Interactive, the AVN award-winning company was sold to Amsterdam-based Zeist Technologies in September. Prior to forming Z-Tech with a group of foreign investors, Jelloun was the CEO of streaming video company Interclimax.

"The internet is taking over the DVD industry," Jelloun said. "We need to change with the times, and the goal of Metro is to be ahead of the game."
