CHATSWORTH, Calif. - AVN's Best New Starlet of 2005 and former Club Jenna contract star McKenzie Lee has returned to porn as a free agent following the birth of her first child.
"I just want to give people a heads up that I am back in," Lee told AVN. "My career is still at the forefront of my mind, and I want to pick up where I left off. I missed it when I was away, and my career hopefully will go full speed ahead. I'm still McKenzie Lee, and I'm still gonna give my fans everything that they ever want."
Lee has signed with talent agency Exotic Star Models, and is available for girl/girl work; but fear not, porn lovers, she hasn't forsaken the penis. "I am doing boy/girl exclusively for my own website," she explained. "I'm just not doing it for other people."
And she's not doing it with only her husband, either, like some female performers have been known to do. "Just because you're married doesn't mean that you're automatically dead," Lee cracked. "I think that if you do it with one person, your fans get bored of seeing the same person. There are people that know it's the same cock, you know. So I am definitely doing it with different people."
The website, McKenzieLee.com, is undergoing a revamp at the moment, but will be up and running again before long. "I'm totally rebuilding it, adding new stuff to it, and it's gonna be a lot more fun and a lot more personal, from my point of view," Lee promised. "I'm gonna basically let the fans decide what kind of scene they would like to see me in, and who with. And I'm gonna have all the regular stuff that goes with a website, but hopefully mine's gonna be a little more personal and a little bit edgier than everybody else's."
Lee's plans for the site include a video diary that will be constantly updated. "My video camera is gonna be my best friend," Lee chuckled. "It's gonna follow me around everywhere I go and to whatever I do in my personal life, so people can get the feel of me at home. You know, this is what I do, and this is who I am, and I'm totally letting my fans into my world. McKenzie's World."
Lee's daughter Tessa Isabella just celebrated her three-month birthday (she was born March 20, weighing in at 6 lbs. 5 oz.).
"She's awesome," Lee gushed. "She's the best thing I ever did. She's beautiful. She's got brown hair and blue eyes, and she's just stunning. If I do say so myself.
"I have a beautiful baby girl and a wonderful husband," she continued. "I can't imagine a day without either of them. Just having the whole family and a support system behind you in whatever you do is amazing. I love my husband, he's adorable, and I love our daughter. So it definitely made me a better person.
"But as for my career," she said, "I'm raring to go. I've been pent up for a while."
Lee spoke very highly of her former employer, Club Jenna. "We didn't leave it on bad terms or anything like that," she said. "It was just, I couldn't give them the attention that they needed, because obviously having my daughter and having my family means that I can't just pick up and leave to, say, Miami at the drop of a hat. I have more responsibilities now, so I couldn't give them my full dedication. But my relationship with Club Jenna is great, and the door with myself and Club Jenna is always open. I'm hoping to work other projects with them, and you never know, maybe one day go back."
Meanwhile, Lee is anxious to reconnect with industry friends this weekend at Erotica L.A. " I'm not signing for anybody, but I'm just gonna go," she said. "I'm gonna go mingle with the crowd. I just want my feelers out there, really, to see what's going on, because obviously being out of the industry for 10 months, new people come and go, so I'm still finding out who's who again."
