Mansion Productions has terminated the license belonging to one of the users of its back-end affiliate software, MPA3, for misconduct. The user was found to have altered MPA3’s source code.
A statement released by Mansion reads, “We discovered that a certain affiliate program had deployed an unauthorized module that seriously tampered with Mansion's own code.”
The changes potentially could have affected the integrity of affiliate data, according to the company.
The statement continues, “We wanted to nip this in the bud to prevent any further abuse of our product to potentially create inaccurate affiliate data. Mansion Productions has zero tolerance for this type of activity, and has engaged counsel to take appropriate action.”
