As of March, a new addition to the ever-expanding family of adult companies has emerged here in Porn Valley. Defiance Films will enter the game with its first release, Pleasure ( read full review), a gonzo production loaded with top female talent: Rita Faltoyano, Paola Rey, Monika Sweetheart and Samantha Ryan, to name a few. Upcoming releases include Slick Chicks Black Dicks, Teen Handjobs, and Justine’s Red Letters.
“Our premise to separate ourselves is that we will be one step below a feature,” said Defiance production head Keith O’Connor. “We do high-end gonzo, not just throw together a bunch of scenes and throw a box cover on it. If you look at the scene pairings and the casts, they’re all A-List. We put the money into each production, which is very costly, but we think in the end it’s going to have great dividends.”
In addition to O’Connor, the company is comprised of sales head Anthony Simone, and directors Norman Bentley, Vincent Voss, and husband and wife team Shy Love and Eric Hunter. All Defiance films are shot in High Definition, with two releases slated per month, expanding to three or four as of October.
“We’re giving people what they want, and this is stuff we would buy,” stressed O’Conner. “That’s how we did it, we said, ‘What would we like to see? What would we want?’ We believe in what we’re doing, so we don’t mind spending the extra money.”
