Lisa Ann Announces Retirement In Handwritten Letter to Fans

LOS ANGELES—Lisa Ann, the award-winning performer who has defined the MILF category for much of mainstream media, announced her retirement earlier today on her Facebook page.

Taking the time to pen a handwritten letter to her fans and colleagues, Lisa Ann posted photos of the letter on her page earlier today. She also tweeted about her retirement.

The letter reads as follows:

Dear World,

We have had such a personal and intimate relationship for so many amazing years. I couldn’t think of a more personal way to share my thoughts with you than taking the time to handwrite you a letter.

I have to start this letter with a thank you. Thank you for all the years I have been able to live out my sexual fantasies through fulfilling ours. I have learned who I am sexually by the challenges you have presented me. I also thank you for the amount of years I have been able to be successful in the adult industry as I know it. [It] is your dedication to me that has dictated the success and length of my career. I also thank you for making me so incredibly strong, independent and most of all sexy!

2014 will be my last year performing in front of the camera doing sex scenes for you. Yes, I am retiring. I wanted to tell you first, myself. It took hours a day, months on end, to try to decide how I was going to tell you, while knowing the entire time how ready I am to create change in my life.

Since I know I can’t make us go cold turkey, without each other, I will still be doing some personal appearances, the occasional special event webcam show. You will always have access to me on my social media and through my new online store I am launching for you on Christmas Day.

I am also working with Fleshlight and Kuzoo on an interactive product that will give the world a brand new ability at a virtual sexual experience.

As for my overall existence in this industry … I have unseen scenes that I plan to sprinkle over time on my website TheLisaAnn.com and I will be working on raising the standards the industry presently has to offer. It is time for me to take a step back, and stand up.

I have been working on a project to help empower the performers in the industry. My business partner Jayden James [sic] and I will be launching a new consulting company—ThePornStarBootCamp.com.

In my new life I dream of having an undefeated season in Fantasy Football while pursuing my career in Fantasy Sports. You can hear my every Monday night on Sirius XM Fantasy Sport Radio Sirius 210/XM 87 10 p.m. ET. I plan to work towards a bigger role with the Sirius family.

My desire to write an incredible book for you to enjoy is everything to me right now.

Starting 2015 it will be my #1 goal for you.

This was a very difficult letter for me to word, write and actually hand-write for you. My letter is resignation in some way, but the birth of my new life in so many other ways. It was heard to walk away from something that has been filled with so much adventure, but I know it is time for me to slow down a bit and as they say “Stop and Smell the Roses.”

P.S. One small favor I ask, as I think for many of you I have done many big and small favors for you. Now it is my turn. My turn to live your life and be able to be out and about. If you see me out, feel free to say hello, but I will only be doing pictures at my events, not in public. I want to be out with my friends have fun and maybe go on a date without taking a picture with another guy! LOL. I hope that you understand. It is my turn to be just like all of you!!

Thank you all so much for the life you have allowed me to life for so many eyars now. As for the years I have strived to make you happy also make it clear. It was all REAL and so is this.

And so am I. The Real Lisa Ann.

All my love,

Lisa Ann

Lisa Ann started in the industry in 1990 as a dancer at Al’s Diamond Cabaret in Reading, Pa. In 1994, she moved to Los Angeles to become an adult actress, but left in 1997 to pursue a career as a feature dancer. She initially returned to Porn Valley in 1997 as an agent, but when she realized she was still in demand, she got back in front of the camera and saw her career explode.

Much of her recognition in mainstream started when, during the 2008 presidential election, she parodied Saran Palin in Hustler Video’s Who’s Nailin’ Paylin?

Lisa Ann was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2009, and has continued to win several industry awards since then. She also continued her feature dancing career, and began a radio career on a Fantasy Football internet radio show. She has also continued to make national headlines in recent years, from agreeing to take a fan to a recent AVN Awards Show, to taking starlet Belle Know under her wing and guiding her career.

Lisa Ann was not immediately available for comment, but AVN will continue to update this story as more details become available.
