Leisure Time Back in Wholesale Business

VAN NUYS, Calif. - Lorraine Weinberg has resumed her duties as sales rep for Leisure Time's wholesale DVD distribution.

Weinberg moved to Sunshine Films on March 24 after Leisure Time quietly announced it was closing its DVD distribution business to focus on mail order. Due to customer demand, Weinberg is now bringing back the popular brand for wholesalers.

"Leisure Time will always be in my blood," said Weinberg. "I've dedicated 19 years to the company and its products and couldn't be happier to once again be the contact for our customers. Since we stopped shipping our wholesale market, I have received so many calls asking if it was coming back. I'm happy to say that starting this week; I will have titles available and more coming every week."

According to Weinberg, the new arrangement will improve the the quality and availability of Leisure Time product.

"We plan to have all titles available for same-day shipping very soon," she said. "And the replication will be state of the art, meaning virtually no defects."

New Leisure Time discs will have a colored ring in the center to identify them as part of the new stock. Any older defective DVDs should be returned to the old address of Leisure Time.

Leisure Time now plans to produce new titles, continuing in the style established in its cast catalog of comps.

"We saw the value of the brand and have no intention of changing any of its main features," said a company spokesman. "We only hope to make it a more reliable product."
