HOLLYWOOD—Clerks creator Kevin Smith announced on Twitter Sunday that he will soon be teaming up with his Zack and Miri Make a Porno troupe member Katie Morgan for a weekly live talk show at his SModcastle theater undelicately titled Having Sex, With Katie Morgan.
The SModcastle is a venue on Santa Monica Blvd. acquired by Smith for hosting live "SModcasts" (the name of the podcast he hosts with producer Scott Mosier) and other events, including weddings officiated by Smith himself.
Having Sex will be presented every Friday night before a live audience at the theater, but as of yet, no plans are in place for the show to be broadcast, according to Morgan.
"We just announced yesterday that we're going to do this, so I'm not sure what angle they're coming at yet," Morgan told AVN. She did confirm, however, that "it's a live weekly theater show," and said she will provide more details about the format once they've been fully solidified.
Morgan's ties with Smith extend beyond being directed by him in Zack and Miri—he in fact presided over her wedding to Jim Jackman September 9, 2009.
Morgan was a nominee at the beginning of that year for AVN's Jenna Jameson Crossover Star of the Year award, and she has hosted her own series of specials on HBO, appeared on the network's Entourage, and received Mr. Skin's award for Best Porn Star Gone Hollywood, among other achievements.
