Janine Pleads Guilty to Tax Charges

PORTLAND, Ore. - Former Vivid Girl Janine Lindemulder faces up to a year in prison and a $100,000 fine after pleading guilty to federal tax evasion charges Friday in U.S. District Court in Eugene.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Karin Immergut said Janine failed to pay more than $200,000 in taxes to the IRS, according to an Associated Press report

As part of her plea agreement, the 39-year-old AVN Hall of Fame actress admitted making a down payment on a $647,000 house and buying two new vehicles despite her knowledge of the IRS debt. She will be required to pay all back taxes.

The Smoking Gun broke the story of Janine's arrest in July. Initial reports indicated she owed $80,000 to the IRS for the year 2004 alone.

Sentencing has been set for October 24.
