Janine Loses Custody Battle; Considers Texas Move

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif.—Janine’s bitter custody battle with ex-husband Jesse James is over. An Orange County family court judge ruled yesterday that the parents would share legal custody of daughter Sunny, but that James could move her to Texas to live with him.

Upon hearing the news, Janine broke down crying, saying, “I can’t do this! I’ll move! I’ll move!”

The battle over physical custody of Sunny has been contentious for the adult star and the recently-divorced James. According to reports, the judge made his decision based on Sunny’s bond with her siblings that live with James.

Janine was allowed to keep her daughter in southern California until the end of the summer at which point she’ll move to Texas and enroll in school in the fall. Janine will be able to see Sunny one a month, get half of Thanksgiving and Christmas, two-thirds of summer vacation and all of spring break.

Lindemulder has made a series of questionable decisions that the judge cited as concerns in granting her full custody including her recent adult film work and her marriage to an ex-con (now divorced) while incarcerated, despite it being a probation violation.

After the court hearing, Janine said "[Sunny] will be fine. It hurts. Sandy is good. Jesse is good. Sunny loves baby Louis. She's excited to move to Texas. [Bullock] will be good for her."
