Jack Venice Surrenders to Police

PULLMAN, Wash. - The Associated Press reports that Christopher Jack Reid, AKA porn performer Jack Venice, 25, has given himself over to Pullman police to be questioned about the alleged sexual assault of a Washington State University student last Thursday, Sept. 13, in the campus' Kappa Alpha Theta sorority house.

Reid also faces charges of burglary, and was reportedly identified to police by a suspected accomplice, WSU student Kyle Schott, 23. According to the AP, Schott told officers that he witnessed Reid "spooning" with the alleged victim and touching her while she remained asleep. Schott also claimed to have handed Reid a condom, and the victim said she believes she may have been awakened by the sound of a condom package being opened, court documents stated.

According to KREM.com, Reid requested that police arrest him at his hotel, so as to avoid media attention. He appeared in Whitman County court this evening, where he asked to be arraigned during his first appearance and pled not guilty to rape.

To represent him, Reid has retained Spokane attorney Chris Bugbee, who issued the following statement to KREM regarding his client: "Mr. Reid maintains that he is innocent of any and all criminal charges. We are confident that when this matter is concluded, he will be absolved of all the allegations against him."
