ROME — Italian porn veteran Milly D'Abbraccio, now in her 40s, is campaigning for a seat in Rome's city hall with posters showcasing her well-known rear end, according to Reuters.
"I am the derriere of the Socialist party," D'Abbraccio said of her political posture. If elected, she wants to start up a red light district to be dubbed "Love City" containing strip clubs, "erotic discos" and sex shops just a short ways from the Vatican.
"It would be something cute, clean — nothing to do with prostitution," D'Abbraccio said. Her buttocks-brandishing campaign has a cheeky underlying message to it (excuse the double pun): "People don't want to see these politicians' faces anymore," she said, referring to Italians' growing discontent with their governing officials.
D'Abbroccio isn't the only adult entertainer to have ever entered Italy's political sphere; in the 1980s, striptease performer Ilona "Cicciolina" Stoller served in parliament.
D'Abbroccio's adult credits include The Kiss of the Cobra; Paolina Borghese, Imperial Nymphomaniac and L'Onorevole, in which she "played the part of the speaker of the lower house of parliament, who got very hot and then let herself go," she said.
