Industry Veteran Launches Vantage Distribution

VAN NUYS, Calif. - Veteran industry insider David Gross has announced the creation of Vantage Distribution. This new wholesale distribution company will be releasing high-end DVDs, classic titles, peep-show loops, and more.

Gross, formerly of New Machine Publishing, said he formed Vantage to serve an under-served market:  upscale, quality niche content.

"We'll be distributing classic Western Visuals, Blue Vanities, V9 (a hidden camera/amateur studio), and several brand new studios yet to be named but will take the niche porn world by storm," Gross said.

Sales and marketing efforts will take place in Gross' Van Nuys office, as will Vantage's shipping departments.

"I am very excited to have partnered exclusively with these niche studios to distribute their legendary titles  - loaded with the hottest scenes from some of your favorite performers from the Golden Age of Porn," Gross continued. "We have a sales team ready to roll, and pre-orders have already starting coming in."

Besides the three studios Vantage has received representation commitments from, the new distribution house plans to supplement its studio offerings with as-yet-to-be announced deals with several other studios.

"I decided to use Vantage for the name of this new venture because I want to prove that our distribution model will have an advantage over others: we'll be a place for retailers and buyers to command access to some of the best adult titles out there," Gross said. "Our titles won't be your everyday porn buys; Vantage Distribution will street superior titles. Period."

In addition, the V9 studio plans to launch a large-scale marketing campaign targeting niche buyers, adult fans from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, and new adult aficionados that recognize the superior entertainment value of classic and niche DVDs.

Gross added, "We have also signed contracts with several leading, adult online retailers, which will only expand our sales growth and get our products out to adult consumers."

Vantage will ship its first movie, Western Visual's Seka, Fallen Angel: The Lost Episodes this month. Seka will be embarking on a Southern California press tour including appearances at adult stores around Los Angeles and radio stations to promote the title. More information on Seka's schedule will be coming soon.

Vantage plans to release approximately two to three titles each month from each of our studios. Gross hopes to expand that release schedule to include additional studios as they come on board.
