Hustler Signs Memphis Monroe, Opens Store in Miami

Hustler Video has signed former Hooters waitress Memphis Monroe to an exclusive performance contract. Monroe will make her first appearance on behalf of the company this Friday at the grand opening celebration for Hustler Hollywood South Beach in Miami Beach, Fla.

Monroe is a 20-year-old native of Louisville, Ky., who began performing in adult films in April. She has signed a one-year deal that calls for her to perform in 24 sex scenes for Hustler.

“I’m very excited about it. I’m pretty new to the business and everything happened really fast,” Monroe told AVN.com Tuesday. “This is definitely something really exciting and I’m looking forward to it.”

Monroe first made contact with Hustler in May when she posed for a layout in the magazine. Two months later she found out she had landed the cover of the December issue, which hit newsstands in September. Then she met with Hustler founder Larry Flynt and began considering an exclusive contract, a process which took about two months. Her agreement became effective on Nov. 1.

“We’re happy to have her,” Flynt told AVN.com. “She’s an all-American girl from the Midwest. That’s what we like.”

Flynt will also head to South Beach for the opening of the seventh U.S. location in the Hustler Hollywood chain, and ninth overall with two in England. Nadia and Ron Jeremy are also scheduled to appear from 7 to 9 p.m. at the store (1234 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, 33139).

Jimmy Flynt II, vice president of marketing for Hustler Entertainment, told AVN.com Tuesday the new Hustler Hollywood is located in the heart of the art deco district of South Beach.

“This Hustler Hollywood in particular will be unique in that it is in a historical area,” Flynt II said from Miami Beach. “So it will have its own unique look, different from the other Hustler Hollywood’s. It has unique architecture that represents the history of South Beach."

He continued, “It’s very exciting. South Beach is sex and beauty and art, everything that represents the Hustler brand, so this is an ideal spot.”

The after-party will be at one of South Beach’s hottest new nightclubs, Mansion, where Chance of Muzik Mafia, Nu-Stylez of Digital Underground and the Infamous Record Breakers will perform.

Flynt II said he thinks Monroe will fit right into the Hustler family, which already includes Hustler girl Jessica Jaymes. When Monroe first visited the flagship Hustler Hollywood on Sunset, she said she found it “really interesting.”

“I like how Hustler has different things - movies, apparel and magazines. There are different things you can branch out to,” she said.

Monroe moved to Los Angeles in August after commuting back and forth to Louisville for the first four months of her career. She formerly modeled for a panty-hose website and did some solo video clips. She began doing artistic nude modeling when she turned 18, in addition to working for Hooters for four years at locations in Louisville and Indiana. While at Hooters, she also modeled for the restaurant’s calendar and other promotions.

“I love modeling,” she said, adding that she also gets a thrill from doing adult films. “When I first got into it, I was scared and nervous. I was thinking, ‘Oh my God, what did I get myself into?’ But now I absolutely love it. I love becoming a different girl. The Memphis character is totally different than me. I’m shy and I usually just sit back. Memphis is crazy. I love sex and love performing and getting into character. It’s so fun. I also love the attention and the fans.”

Monroe, who has done about 50 scenes since April - over 10 for Websites - will perform her first scene under contract on Wednesday in a production called Larry’s Angels. She does boy/girl and girl/girl exclusively. The rising star also lends her name and "moral support" to Monroe Modeling Agency, which started in August.
