Brit beauty Hannah Harper’s made some 150 titles since entering the business in 2001, but none she’s more excited about or proud of than Jim Powers’ Sodom 2, one of Sin City’s biggest releases of the year.
“Jim Powers is just amazing,” the Sodom 2 star and Sin City contract girl said in an interview at AVN on Tuesday. “I love working with him. He’s amazing at creating things on the spot and making things very twisted and very sick. I would not have gone through what I went through in this movie for any other director, I don’t think.”
What she went through included being submerged in a bathtub of beef broth, coffee and coca cola, and being covered in mud and corn syrup.
“I’m pretty much tied up in every scene,” she related. “For some reason, there was no heating and no hot water in either location (a house and a studio here in Porn Valley), and I was taking about three showers every day.”
Doesn’t sound like the easiest shoot she’s ever done, now does it?
“Well, you know what? I read the script, and I was excited by the vision that Jim Powers had, so I was like, ‘You know what? I’m going to do it for you, and we’re going to make this as great as it can be.’”
“It’s a very surreal story the way it moves along,” she said. “I’m driving along with my husband Billy Glide, we’re having an argument, and this girl, played by Roxy Jezel, suddenly appears in the middle of the road, naked and shivering. And we take her in, and she sits down in a blanket and explains how she’s been out in the desert for three weeks getting sodomized by several gentlemen, and I’m all shocked, ‘Oh how awful for you.’ And somehow I manage to get involved in the whole thing.”
Harper has two sex scenes in Sodom 2, a d.p. with Rick Masters and Jenner, and an anal pairing with Alex Sanders. Sodom 2’s large cast also features Tory Lane, Ariana Jollee, Melissa Lauren, Roxy Jezel, Staci Thorn, Tyla Wynn and Tiger. It streets Wednesday.
Look for a review in the July AVN. But Harper’s fellow Sin City contract girl Gina Austin is already giving it rave notices.
“I loved it,” the brunette beauty, who accompanied Harper to the AVN offices, said. “I think it was great. There’s a side of her (Harper) that you just don’t see until they say, ‘Action.’ It’s really good. It’s one of the best movies I’ve ever seen.”
